We are looking for people who are invested in shaping the future of arts and heritage in the region to join our Board.
The North East Culture Partnership (NECP) is a collective of representatives from arts, culture and heritage. Together, we are building on the strengths of the North East’s diverse communities, finding new opportunities and looking for creative ways to bring more investment into the North East’s culture offer.
We’re looking for four new people to be part of our Board. You may be an individual or be part of a small organisation in the arts or heritage sectors. You should be passionate about the North East and be excited to work with a team to renew our new North East Case for Culture and to participate in working groups taking forward topics such as climate, inclusivity and post-Covid cultural recovery initiatives.
Our board is made up of people from across the North East of England who lead working groups, events and engagement. Our Board also includes individuals from the public sector, the cultural and historic environment, universities, business and the voluntary sector.
If you believe the North East is a unique, vibrant and creative place to live, work and thrive and if you want to bring your own lived experiences and skills to the fore to further NECP and the region, then we want to hear from you.
To ensure that all voices from the North East are heard we are particularly looking to recruit independent practitioners and to diversify our membership.
We welcome applications from people who may be new to Board Membership and we will be hosting an open Zoom event with current board members where you can find out more about the work of the partnership and what board membership involves.
Deadline for applications 12 April 2021
Please apply by sending a CV and short letter (around 300 words) letter to Matthew Jarratt, Partnership Manager at the North East Culture Partnership.
