The North East Culture Partnership's most recent online event explored issues around creative health.

Data for 2022 has recently been released by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) , showing the regional Gross Value Added (GVA) figures by region in the DCMS sectors.

The North East Culture Partnership (NECP) has organised regular ‘Thinking International’ events since 2016. The focus is to look at how North East England arts and heritage organisations and culture freelance practices are finding ways to work with international partners and to hear about funding or policy opportunities for the cultural sector.

The North East Culture Partnership has launched two new surveys as it continues to make the Case for Culture. We are running our fifth International Working survey and have also launched a survey about Capital Repairs, Replacement and Renewal.

What will the heritage sector look like in three years? What hopes and concerns do those in the sector have for the future? What opportunities does the devolution deal present?

The North East Culture Partnership and Historic England are once again working in partnership to present a regional heritage forum.

As part of our ongoing North East Case for Culture work, the North East Culture Partnership recently convened a meeting of child health, education and culture colleagues who have an experienced overview of the sector in the North East.
