Accessible Events Commitment

We are fully committed to equity, diversity and inclusion, and we aim to ensure all people have equal access to our events.

With our Accessible Events checklist we aim to ensure all people have equal access to our events.

We have listened to feedback about our events, and have consulted with Curious Arts, Creative Fuse North East and New Writing North to develop an Accessible Events checklist.

We’ve put together this resource to ensure consideration is given to the physical, intellectual, and environmental contexts of all intended audiences and participants of our events.

Its primary purpose is to inform the planning of our events, and we’re also sharing it with the culture sector across the region as a resource which can be used for all event planning.

This checklist has been overseen by the North East Culture Partnership’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion sub-group.
